Good Afternoon,I am looking to add some basic cabinetry and coat cubbies to our mud/laundry room. Attached are my initial plans.
It would involve two walls in my current mudroom/laundry room.
Pg 1 shows the mudroom wall and this includes:Tall Cabinet 93″x”24 wide x 24″ deepBase cabinet 34″x21″ wide x 24″ deep4 open cuppies at 95″ tall and 18″ wide (interior) with 1/5″ face frame.
Pg. 2 shows the laundry wall and this includes:Wall Cabinet 30″x19″ wide (18″ cabinet, plus extra 1″ on left side up against wall)x24″ deepWall Cabinet 30″x18″ wide x 24″ deepWall cabinet 30″x36″ wide x 12″ deepSink (apron) base 34″x36″ wide x 24″ deepBase 34″ x 12″ wide x 24″ deep
As for finishes:I’d like to do two-tone combination with cabinets all one color and wooden cubbies/shelves another colorCabinets a mid-tone gray would be first choice, but also open to other color suggestionsCubbies/shelves a white oak (something light, neutral, soft brown — trying to avoid any yellow or orange undertones). Also open to other wood suggestions! These can be finished or unfinished and I can stain them. As for cabinet faces, I’d like to stick to full overlay. My first preference would be slab doors and drawers. My second choice would be a simple shaker style door and slab drawers. My third choice would be simple shaker doors and drawers. These options are all okay with me, as it’s a mud/laundry room we are trying to keep costs down as much as possible and also acknowledge that this room will be dirty and busy and used heavily.Basic toe kick boards for cabinets.Basic 2.5-3″ crown molding for cabinets (nothing ornate or too decorative)
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and if you might have any solutions for us. I do have someone who can install the cabinets if that makes the process easier/more streamlined.
    Thanks so much!!Jessica Hagedorn
