  1. M Warren says:

The owner of Streamline Cabinetry in Ogden, Utah, John Fawson, also owned Craft Cabinetry in Idaho, in the Caldwell, Meridian area.
He closed Streamline Cabinetry in November of 2022, then continued to solicited business afterwards, collecting $4,480 from me in December, having his wife Vanessa Fawson create a fraudulent “Streamline Cabinetry” invoice for closet cabinetry, he then opened a temporary Wells Fargo bank account to cash the check, closing that shortly afterwards. The cabinetry was to be delivered by February. After many excuses, including illness, I researched & found out the business had been closed prior to the contract being written, and that others had been defrauded also.
In late August of 2023 John Fawson updated his LinkedIn profile, changing the business closed date from November of 2022 to January of 2023, in an attempt to cover up the fact that the multiple contracts written in December were indeed fraudulent. Thankfully, digital evidence from LinkedIn & screenshot documentation are infallible.
I presented him a demand to repay the deposit, as he not only misrepresented the status of the company, he delivered no product.
I do not do business with any unlicensed, uninsured, illegal contractors.
He has not returned my money, so I filed a fraud complaint with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, a case number has been assigned, and prosecution for fraud and contracting without a license is imminent.
I am seeking other victims of John Fawson, Vanessa Fawson, Craft Cabinetry, Streamline Cabinetry, or any of his family members, as the greater the number, the more severe the penalty.
Please file additional complaints with your local jurisdiction, & let them know of the complaint mentioned above. I can be reached at PO Box 150115, Ogden, UT 84415.
As several victims have been LDS families, once all the multiple incident evidence is compiled it can be presented to the appropriate bishop for review, concerning conduct unbecoming a church member. Criminal activities including fraud, warrant Church discipline.
John and Vanessa Fawson definitely need a refresher course on their Commandments, especially the eighth, “Thou shalt not steal” (Exodus 20:15).
As my case proceeds through the legal system, I will upload the documents to this and other review sites for all to see, to verify the legitimacy of the complaint, and in hopes of preventing further victimization of members of the community.
John Fawson has also been involved in the local HVAC business, and could possibly have additional victims within that service industry.
